The annual Sports Day of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences, “SPORTIF JOUR” 2018 -19 was held on 30th November 2018 at the Nitte Grounds, University Campus.
Dr. Murali Krishna V, Sports Advisor, NitteDU was the chief guest of the day. The program began with a march-past by the students and the chief guest received the guard of honor following which the sports flag was hoisted and the meet was declared open.
Ms. Persis Thomas of III Year B.Sc (N) welcomed the guests, participants and the gathering. The student representatives lighted the sports flame followed by the oath taking ceremony led by Ms. Nayana Alex, Sports Chairperson. III Year B. Sc (N) students performed a flash mob. The chief guest in his inaugural address encouraged the students and urged them to take active participation in sports activities along with their academic responsibilities. Prof. Sabitha Nayak, Vice Principal addressed the gathering and presented a memento to the chief guest as a token of gratitude. Ms. Ashwitha III Year B.Sc (N) proposed the Vote of thanks.
