Harvard Institute of Fire & Safety, Mangalore jointly with NSS & Rover units of MRPITI organized a program on “Fire & Safety awareness” at MR Punja ITI, Tapovana, Thokur on 14th January 2019.
“A basic awareness of safety is something we all need to inculcate in ourselves. Making sure everything dear to us is kept safe and secure, with nothing left to chance, is the mark of a sensible mind” said Prof. KS Babu, Principal, Harvard Institute of Fire & Safety, Mangalore in his inaugural speech.
Prof. Chethan of Harvard Institute of Fire & Safety gave a power point presentation on “Fire & Safety”. He mentioned that sensible safety measures could decrease the number of fire accidents and prevent risks at work place.
Mr YN Salian, Principal said, “Fire or explosions at work place can be extremely dangerous and we must be aware of the steps to be taken in this regard, to ensure maximum safety”. Chief Guest, Mr Raghuram Rao, Placement Officer and Mr Laxmikanth, Training Officer spoke briefly on safety awareness.
Ms Radhika, Ms Bhagyalaxmi and Ms Radha Doddamani, COPA students recited the prayer. Mr Shivaram Devadiga, JTO proposed the Vote of thanks. Mr Gururaj Bhat, JTO anchored the program. The staff, students and alumni were present at the function.
