guest lecture on “Career Opportunities and Prospects in Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs" was organized at NGSMIPS on 19th January 2019. Mr. Srivatsa Rao, Assistant General Manager (Generic Formulations), Biocon Limited, Bangalore was the resource person. He discussed various aspects of career opportunities in pharmaceutical regulatory affairs.
Dr. R. Narayana Charyulu, welcomed the gathering and emphasized the significance of regulatory affairs. Dr. C.S. Shastry introduced the speaker acknowledging the relevance, such sessions will have as a part of industry – academia interaction.
Mr. Srivatsa Rao, gave an insightful talk on the various aspects of pharmaceutical industry and where an aspirant can begin his or her career. He started his talk citing various hurdles he had to cross in order to reach his present position. He spoke about Biocon Limited, its beginning’s and various activities undertaken by the company; about the attitude and focus one should have, to succeed in life and about the career opportunities in Regulatory Affairs. The talk was followed by an active question and answer session, during which the industry and academia collaborations were discussed. The program was attended by NGSMIPS faculty, PhD research scholars and M.Pharm students.
