A guest lecture on “Translational research leading to a potential product that can be commercialized through Entrepreneurship Development" by Dr. Jitendra Kumar, Managing Director, Bangalore Bioinnovation Centre(BBC), Bangalore was organized at NGSM Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences on 22nd January 2019.
Dr. C.S. Shastry in his address welcomed the gathering and enlightened the young growing minds regarding entrepreneurship and motivated the young research scholars to contribute innovatively towards research and development.
Dr. Jitendra Kumar, gave a brief insight about business management and business incubation program to start a company. He encouraged students to develop innovative skills and take the institutional level project to a larger scale, which can lead to patenting. He also enlightened the gathering on technology incubators, that help new and start-up companies develop, by providing services such as management training or office space. He gave an idea on the organizational perspective of a company. He informed the students about various start up schemes and start-up funds provided by the Government.
Dr. R Narayana Charyulu, Vice Principal delivered the Vote of thanks and presented a Certificate of appreciation to the renowned speaker.
