PG teaching programme and 15th OSCE workshop in ENT and- Head & Neck surgery - KSHEMA

Department of ENT, K S Hegde Medical Academy, Deralakatte, Mangalore conducted PG teaching programme and 15th OSCE workshop in ENT and- Head & Neck surgery on 26th January 2019. More than 100 post graduate students participated in the workshop from different parts of India.

Chief guest of the programme Prof. Dr Jayaprakash Alva, Dean of Father Muller Medical college, spoke about the importance of the Objective structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) in the assessment of medical students and stressed about the reforms in the medical education.

Prof Dr Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice chancellor Nitte (Deemed to be University), was felicitated for being awarded honorary FRCS from the Royal college of surgeries, London.

Prof. Dr Prakash P S, Dean of KSHEMA presided over the function. He spoke about the advantages and difficulties in conducting OSCE workshop.

Dr Rajeshwary A, Prof & Head of ENT, KSHEMA delivered the welcome address. Dr R G Aiyer from Vadodara, Dr Muralidharan Nampoothiri from Calicut, Dr Azim from Kolar, Dr Arun Alexander from JIPMER Pondichery, Dr Mohan Appaji, Dr Gangadhar Somayaji, Dr Balakrishna, Dr Kailesh Pujary, Dr Vijayalakshmi were the resource persons. Dr Shrinath Kamath, proposed the Vote of thanks. Dr Marina Saldanha was the master of ceremony for the programme.
