INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 2019 themed, Balance for Better was celebrated by the Women's Forum of A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences on 8th March 2019. The program was presided over by the Principal & Dean, Prof (Dr) US Krishna Nayak.
Prof (Dr) Padmaja Udaykumar, Vice Dean, Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore was the chief guest for the program. She emphasised on the importance of celebrating Women’s Day. Prof (Dr) Priya Ballal, Head, Department of OBG, Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore delivered a keynote lecture on 'Women's health – Time to introspect' for creating awareness and stressed the importance of balancing health with professional life. She emphasized on the need to pay attention to the health of women with preventive measures and intervention at various stages.
Prof (Dr) Amitha Ramesh, President of Women’s Forum welcomed the gathering and Prof (Dr) Darshana Devadiga, Secretary moderated the interactive guest lecture. Dr Tripthi Shetty was the master of ceremonies and Dr Chethana, Joint Secretary delivered the vote of thanks.
