The Annual Day program ‘EKATVA 2019’ of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences, a constituent college of NitteDU was held on 8th March 2019 at KS Hegde auditorium, Deralakatte. Dr Roy K George, President of Trained Nurses Association of India and Principal of Baby Memorial College of Nursing, Kerala was the Chief Guest. In his address to the students, Dr. Roy highlighted the importance of nursing career and student role in quality patient care. He also elaborated on the activities of the Trained Nurses Association of India.
The program was presided over by Prof Dr Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice Chancellor, Nitte (Deemed to be University). He applauded the faculty for their dedicated efforts and advised them to continue the good work and bring recognition and glory to the institution. On this happy occasion, Dr Roy was felicitated by the Vice Chancellor in recognition of his achievements in the field of nursing. Prof Dr Fatima D'Silva presented the Annual Report of the college. Dr. Jacintha Veigas conducted the proceedings. The formal program was followed by a sparkling variety entertainment program put up by the talented students of the college.
