A Quiz competition was organized for the students of the Nitte University Centre for Science Education & Research on 8th March 2019 at the University Auditorium, Paneer Campus. This was the first time that a quiz for all the students across all programs was conducted in the institute. The purpose of the event was not only to make the courses offered at the Centre more engaging and interesting for the students but also to encourage critical thinking and creativity in them.
Mr Clinton Baptist, the founder of QuizX, an educational venture based in Mangalore, was the quizmaster. The event was a great hit among the students who enjoyed the challenging and thought provoking questions designed, keeping in mind the emerging trends in biomedicine. Most unique part of the event was the format of the quiz, which allowed discussions and challenging questions that arose from those discussions. The groups consisted of two members per team with a mix of UG and PG students.
Mr Vivek from II year and Mr Alen from III year BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science were the winners. Mr Nester from I year MSc Biomedical Science and Ms Krithi from I year BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science were the runners up.
