Prof. Niranjan Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT and Prof. Parameswaran, Director, Industry Institute Interaction, NMAMIT, Nitte visited Israel, under the Indo-Israel Space Tech Leadership Program organized by the Indian Technical Congress Association (ITCA) between 26th and 30th May 2019. There were 20 members in the visiting team, from different Technical Institutes of India. Dr. Murali Krishna Reddy, ITCA President led the team.
The team visited Nano-Satellite Center of Tel-Aviv University, Herziliya Science Center, Israel Space Agency, Image Sat International and Agriculture Research Organization at Volcani Center. The purpose of the visit was to get first-hand information about the Student Satellite program of Israel. ITCA is co-ordinating design, development and launch of 75 satellites that will be developed by the students of Engineering Institutes in India by the year 2022, which is the 75th year of Indian Independence. The visit helped NMAMIT get a broad picture of a similar program in Israel.
