Cyber Security and Forensics workshop - ABSMIDS

The Forensic Odontology Unit (FOU) of A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences in association with ‘Cyber Safe Campus’ conducted a workshop on “CYBER SECURITY AND FORENSICS” on 29.11.2019 at the New Auditorium, ABSMIDS. Mr Shayank from III BDS was the master of ceremony. Mrs Vinuthini led the prayer. Prof. Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice-Chancellor, Nitte DU was the chief guest & Prof. Dr. Alka Kulkarni, Registrar, Nitte DU was the guest of honour. Prof Dr U S Krishna Nayak presided over the program. Dr Ananth Prabhu G, Cyber security expert and trainer (Professor, Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management) was the resource person who lectured on various topics of cyber crimes and how to avoid being a victim and remain cyber safe. The program was initiated by lamp lighting, followed by escorting the guests to the dais. Dr Kumuda Rao gave a short introduction of the FOU and the resource person and welcomed the gathering. Prof. Dr. Sateesh Kumar Bhandary, Prof. Dr. Alka Kulkarni and Prof Dr U S Krishna Nayak addressed the gathering speaking about the importance and need of conducting such a workshop. Dr Urvashi Shetty delivered the vote of thanks. The program concluded with the National Anthem. About 250 students of II & III BDS, Interns and faculty attended the program and benefitted from the same.
