The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of NMAMIT organized an Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp for the final year students of Civil, Mechanical and Biotechnology Engineering from 6th to 8th January 2020. The event was sponsored by the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad.
Dr. Lingaraju, Professor, Dept. of ISE, MSRIT, Bengaluru inaugurated the program. In his inaugural speech, he stressed the relevance of entrepreneurship in the present scenario of the Indian economy and also highlighted the scope of intrapreneurship i.e. building one’s enterprise within the industry while working.
Dr. Niranjan N Chiplunkar, Principal in his presidential remarks emphasized the scope for entrepreneurship and advised students to set their future goals and work hard to achieve it. Dr. S K Mahadeve Gowda, Head, Civil Engineering, Dr. Shashikanth Karinka, Head, Mechanical Engineering, Dr. C Vaman Rao, Head, Biotechnology Engineering were present during the function.
Dr. Narasimha K Bailkeri, Chief Project Leader of EDC welcomed the gathering and briefed about the camp. Mr. Rajath Rao, Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering introduced the chief guest. Ms. Geetha, Project Coordinator, EDC proposed the vote of thanks.
The program included sessions on different aspects of entrepreneurship. The resource persons included professors, entrepreneurs and people from eminent government bodies like MSME, RUDSETI, etc. The main objective of the camp was to sensitize students in the domain areas of Entrepreneurship Management & related tools.
A total of 169 students participated in the program.
