News from KSHEMA | CME on 'Emerging and Re-emerging Viral Infections: Where are we?'

The Central Research Laboratory and Department of Community Medicine, KSHEMA organized a CME on 'Emerging and Re-emerging Viral Infections: Where are we?' on 09th January 2020.

The CME was inaugurated by Dr Avinash Shetty, Associate Dean for Global Health, Wake Forest School of Medicine, USA. The inaugural function was presided over by Prof (Dr) B Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice Chancellor, Nitte (Deemed to be University). A Citation was presented to Dr Avinash Shetty by the Vice Chancellor for his valuable contribution to Nitte DU as an international collaborator. The Dean, Prof (Dr) P S Prakash, Vice Deans, Prof (Dr) Amrit Mirajkar & Prof (Dr) Jayaprakash Shetty were present on the occasion.

The CME included scientific presentations on Zika virus, H1N1 and Dengue. Dr Avinash Shetty, Dr Suchitra Shenoy from KMC and Dr Sudheendra Rao M from KSHEMA were the resource persons. Dr Veena Shetty welcomed the gathering and Dr Sanjeev Badiger, HoD, Community Medicine proposed the vote of thanks.
