A farewell ceremony was organized by the first year Pre University students in honor of the outgoing students of Dr. NSAM PU College, Mangaluru on 31st January 2020 at the college grounds.
The seniors received a warm welcome from the juniors. The function progressed with dance performances by the juniors. The event was made memorable with a display of video-clippings of all the college events held during the year.
The juniors recalled their memories with the seniors which was heart-touching. Rashmi of II Science and Megha of II Commerce reminisced their college life and expressed their deep love and gratitude to the teachers. Addressing the students, Mrs. Shakunthala, Lecturer in Commerce spoke encouraging words of wisdom. Ms. Rashmitha Lecturer in Chemistry wished the outgoing students success in their future endeavors and advised them to prepare well for the forthcoming board exams.
Principal Dr. Naveen Shetty K presided over the function. He said that life on this earth is short and to make it meaningful, we must do good things and help others. He also demonstrated a few yoga mudras to improve concentration. He concluded his speech by reciting a few lines from the Bhavageethe – ‘Volithu Maadu Manushya’ rendered by C Ashwath. The program concluded with the vote of thanks.
