News from NITTE Meenakshi Institute of Technology | Kannada Rajyotsava and Corona Awareness Programme

Dr. T.H. Anjanappa, Famous Surgeon and writer in Kanna- da inaugurated the Kannada Rajyotsava and Corona Aware- ness programme at NITTE Meenakshi Institute of Technol- ogy, Bengaluru. He said, “No one needs to be afraid of the Pandemic Corona as the death rate due to that is meager 2% in India, thanks to the inbuilt immunity of folks. But he in- sisted to wear masks and to maintain social distancing till the vaccine is in force.

”Prof. N.R. Shetty, Chancellor, Cen-tral University of Karnataka, presided over the function. In his presidential address, he insisted upon the translation of the scientific and technical literature into Kannada to enable to implement of the medium of instruction in that language with full confidence. 

On this occasion, Dr. Vinyas Mahesh, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, NITTE Meenakshi Institute of Technology was felicitated for having figured in the list of most innovative scientists, prepared by Stanford University, USA. In the be- ginning Dr. H.C. Nagaraj, Principal, NMIT welcomed the gathering. Prof. N. Nalini anchored the programme and Dr. N. Jayarama Shetty proposed a Vote of thanks.
