News from Dr. NSAM PU College, Mangaluru | Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrations

The NSS unit of Dr. NSAM PU College celebrated Karnataka Rajyotsava on 1st November 2021 at the college auditorium. The program began with a prayer led by Mr. Pratik, the Commerce student. Delivering the introductory speech, Mr. Venkat Giri, Kannada Lecturer highlighted the message contained in Kuvempu’s poem “No matter where you are or how you are, remember that you are a Kannadiga and respect Kannada and Karnataka Mathe (mother)”.

Principal Dr. Naveen Shetty K in his presidential address spoke about the beauty & simplicity of Kannada Language and emphasized its importance. He was of the opinion that English has become an inevitable part of our daily life, however it is necessary for every citizen as an Indian to respect and preserve their state language. His speech generated a sense of pride in the minds of the audience. He urged the audience to respect Kannada, the State language.

Various cultural programs related to Kannada Naadu were presented by the students. The program concluded with the Nada Geethe.
