Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences celebrated the 75th Independence Day, “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,” on 15th August 2022. The program started with the patriotic song Vande Mataram by Ms. Simi and group of 2nd semester students.
Dr. Prof. Fatima Dsilva, Principal, hoisted the national flag and addressed the gathering. She stressed the importance of the tricolor of the national flag and the responsibility of youth to contribute to the development of the nation. Ms. Meghana & the team from 4th BSc Nursing rendered a patriotic group song. Ms. Gismy and group from second semester performed a patriotic group dance. On this occasion, the National flag was distributed to all.
Mrs. Suchithra, NSS Program Officer, welcomed the gathering and Ms. Ajal Maria Mathew, SNA Vice-President of NUINS, proposed the vote of thanks. Around 340 students from NUINS participated in this program. The program was compered by Ms. Emema, BSc Nursing 2nd semester.
