Fresher’s Day celebrations of GNM 2022-25 batch was organised by the II GNM students of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences on 17th January 2023 at KS Hegde Auditorium to make the new students feel connected and form an integral part of the institution. The freshers were welcomed into the friendly atmosphere and encouraged by the seniors to bring out their creative impulses.
The program began with the welcome address by Ms. Tenzing Lungrig, followed by a ramp walk by the freshers. The seniors put up a few programs to entertain their juniors. Ms. Anorra Lewis, Senior addressed the freshers. The stage was then handed over to the freshers of PB(BSc), MSc and GNM where they showcased their talents through dance and songs and also depicted different cultures by wearing their traditional attires.
Mr. Rolwin, I year GNM thanked all the seniors for organizing the fresher’s day. Dr. Neeta Kamath, Head, Department of Community Health Nursing, announced the results of Mr. and Ms. Freshers’ contest. Mr. Sharvin Noronha was adjudged as Mr. Fresher and Ms. Imsunungla Lemtutsur was conferred the title of Ms. Fresher.
Ms. Kalsang Dekey proposed the vote of thanks. 15 faculty members and 217 students attended the program.
