Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences deputed 5 NSS volunteers - Ms. Suviksha Bhandary, Ms. Deepthi Poonja, Ms. Kavya, Ms. Sahana Ruth & Ms. Deeksha for the National Youth Festival organized by Akkamahadevi Women's University, Vijayapur from 19th to 23rd February 2023. Sessions were held on Maintenance of Mental Health, Empowerment of Youth and Food & Hygiene. Students actively participated in yoga, self-motivating games, cultural activities and Shramadan. The volunteers visited Golgumbaz, Ibrahim Rouza and Sangeeth Mahal Toravi.
The participants learnt time management and organizational skills besides understanding the importance of youth in nation-building.
Ms. Suviksha Bhandary was adjudged the Best NSS volunteer and also won the II prize in solo dance. Ms. Deepthi Poonja bagged the first prize in singing (solo). The team bagged the first prize in group singing.
