The NSS Unit of NGSM Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences organized Vanamahotsava to observe the World Nature Conservation Day on 28th July 2023 at the college campus and at the arboretum. Principal Prof. Dr. C. S. Shastry inaugurated the program by planting a sapling. In the inaugural speech, the Principal urged all participants to take active role in protecting Mother Nature from the constant climatic pollution that is affecting the earth adversely. He further stated that the only way to overcome this crisis is to organize and participate in “tree plantation” programs. He urged students to implement plantation programs near their residence & surrounding areas and advised them to educate the public also. Staff & students planted saplings in the campus.
Dr. Santanu, NSS Program Officer, NGSMIPS, proposed the vote of thanks. The student volunteers of the NSS unit and staff members participated in the program.
