The Department of Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry, ABSMIDS organised a free dental screening and oral health awareness program on 15th June 2023 at Shakthi Residential School, Shakthinagar, Mangalore.
A pediatric dental team, led by Dr. Manju R, HoD and Dr. Meghna Bhandary, Sr. Lecturer, along with the postgraduates and interns visited the school. The program started with an oral awareness health talk, which was followed by the oral health check-up for the students belonging to the lower primary classes. Consent forms were given to the students who required invasive procedures to be performed under local anaesthesia.
Around 239 students were screened for their oral hygiene status.
