Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor on 15th August 2023 in the school, to mark the 77th year of freedom from the British rule.
On this special occasion, the chief guest, Col. A K Jayachandran, Ex-Serviceman along with the PTA President, Mr Swaraj Shetty and the Principal Mrs Shreelatha Rao unfurled the national flag. The students sang the national anthem and the flag song in unison upholding the country’s glory.
The chief guest addressed the gathering and recalled that the 76 years of freedom we are currently enjoying is the result of sacrifices of countless citizens. He mentioned about the challenges before the country and gave a call to the students to be patriotic, respectful to the law and elders. He also urged the students to be worthy adults and contribute towards nation building. The Principal, in her speech emphasized on Sustainable Development Goals and reminded the role of parents and teachers in producing worthy citizens of tomorrow.
Students gave a short entertainment program that included songs with patriotic emotions. The prime attraction of the event was “Kitchen Beats” played using the utensils and articles available in the kitchen.
The program concluded with distribution of sweets to all.
