The NSS wing and Youth Red Cross unit of NUCSER celebrated the International Youth Day on 11th August 2023 by organizing a talk on “Skill Enhancement for Career and Professional Excellence Among Youth”.
The resource person was Dr. Jnaneshwar Pai Maroor from the Department of Humanities, NMAMIT, Karkala. The session conducted by Dr. Maroor was highly productive and engrossing for the students.
Prizes for an Essay competition held earlier were given away to the participants by Dr. Maroor. Ashell and Laya from 1st BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science won the first and second prizes respectively. The topics for the essays were related to challenges in education as well as mental health issues faced by the younger generation. The resource person provided useful skill enhancement ideas aimed at instilling purpose and direction in the minds of the youth, to face the challenges of the current times to achieve success in life.
