Nitte institutions in Nitte campus jointly celebrated 76 years of freedom on 15th August 2023 in the quadrangle area of Nitte Rukmini Adyanthaya Memorial Polytechnic College, Nitte. Prof. Dr. K Sankaran, Former Director, Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management unfurled the national flag.
Dr. Sankaran briefly explained the history of the germination of the freedom struggle and how the day is to be celebrated in memory of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. He spoke on the relevance of the national flag. NCC Cadets of NMAMIT, Dr. NSAM High School, Scouts & Guides, Security Guards and staff members actively participated in the event.
Shri. A Yogeesh Hegde, Director (Campus Maintenance & Development), welcomed the gathering. Dr. Raghavendra Bairy, Assoc. Professor, Dept of Physics delivered the formal vote of thanks. Dr. Shivaprasad Shetty, Officer In-charge, NCC Naval Unit, NMAMIT was the Master of Ceremony.
