Teachers’ Day at Dr. MRSM English Medium High School, Tapovana, Thokur was celebrated on 5th September 2023 in a unique manner by organizing a Faculty Development Program. With the aim of strengthening the bond between the students and teachers, the training was centered around ‘Understanding Students through Emotional Intelligence’.
The facilitator, Ms. Preetham Kamath, Corporate Trainer/Counsellor, ISTD Member led the participants through Erikson’s 8 Stages of Development. Real life stories were discussed to understand the outcome of success and failure in handling conflicts at each of the stages. The content of the program helped participants to introspect, to identify areas that need to be strengthened to develop their personality and also look at students with a new perspective.
Members of the PTA felicitated teachers in the afternoon session with a memento. The staff enjoyed the games conducted for them. In recognition of their efforts in shaping their wards the PTA donated EPSON Portable Projector to the school during the occasion.
