News from ABSMIDS | A Professional Development program titled "The Changing Face of Dentistry"

The Institutional Placement & Career Guidance Cell in association with the Interns Academic Club of ABSMIDS organized a Professional Development program titled "The Changing Face of Dentistry" by Dr C Jagadeesh, Sr. Private Dental Practitioner, Bengaluru for Interns & students of I & II BDS on 28th September 2023 at Avishkaar Auditorium. The Principal & Dean, Prof. (Dr.) U S Krishna Nayak presided over the function and stressed on the importance of Practice Management.

Dr. Jagadeesh discussed in detail about conventional and modern dentistry and the various technological advances available in dentistry for better treatment outcome. He gave an in-depth overview regarding the steps to be followed for improving private practice, the adoption of latest advances in dentistry and stressed on the importance of dental clinic design for better utilisation of work place.

Dr Shama rendered the invocation prayer; Prof. (Dr) Subhas Babu, Chairperson, Interns Academic Club welcomed the gathering; Dr Gopinath Thilak introduced the resource person; Prof Dr Mithra N Hegde, Vice Principal spoke on the occasion & Prof (Dr) Darshana Devadiga, Member Secretary, Institutional Placement & Career Guidance Cell delivered the vote of thanks. Ms Divine Prato compered the program.

20 faculty members and 315 students participated in the program.
