As a part of the Industry-Academia Lecture Series at Nitte University Centre for Science Education & Research, a talk was organized on 29th September 2023, focusing on “Application of Biotechnology in Pharmaceutical Industry”.
Dr. PK Vasudeva, Techno Commercial Head, Quadrivalents Labs Pvt. Limited was the resource person. The guest speaker was welcomed by Prof. Smitha Hegde, Dy. Director, NUCSER.
The program was conducted for the postgraduates to help them address challenging research questions with real-world applications. The lecture dealt with the significance of biotechnology in the production and process development of synthetic chemicals, enzymes and medicines. The resource person also focused on the challenges and scope of the pharmaceutical industry in India. He responded to the questions raised by students. The session was interactive and students participated enthusiastically.
