The NSS Unit of Nitte Institute of Professional Education successfully organized Sadbhavana Diwas on 20th August 2024 at the college to promote harmony among students and instill values of tolerance and mutual respect.
The program commenced with a welcome speech by Mr. Riyaz, who highlighted the significance of Sadbhavana Diwas / National Harmony Day. He emphasized the role of students in fostering harmony and unity within the community, setting the tone for the rest of the event.
Dr. Jnaneshwar Pai, Principal, NIPE spoke about the importance of cultural and social harmony in building a progressive nation. He urged the students to embrace diversity and work towards a peaceful coexistence.
Ms. Kavana of II BCA shared insights on the role of youth in maintaining harmony. She urged students to be ambassadors of peace in their daily lives, stressing the importance of empathy and understanding. Mr. Krishnendu, II BCA discussed the historical context of National Harmony Day and its relevance in today’s world. He provided examples of how communities can come together despite differences to create a harmonious society.
Ms. Rashmi Hegde, Asst. Professor, led the gathering in an oath-taking ceremony, where all participants pledged to uphold the values of unity, peace and harmony in their lives.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Janani.
