Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy organized the Swachh Sagar Abhiyan in collaboration with the Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru, at Tannirbhavi Beach on 8th September 2024 on the occasion of World Physiotherapy Day.
The chief guest, Sri N. Vinaya Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte University, commended NIPT for organizing the initiative and expressed his full support for such events beneficial to society. Capt. Ganesh Karnik appreciated NIPT for its consistent involvement with the Ramakrishna Mission in Swachh Bharat activities and congratulated them for organizing such a large-scale event.
The function was presided over by Swamy Jitakamanandaji Maharaj. The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Rakesh Krishna, the event's convenor. Approximately 500 students and volunteers participated in cleaning the beach.
