The World Entrepreneurs Day organized by Nitte University in collaboration with the Institution's Innovation Council IIC of NMAMIT was celebrated at NMAM Institute of Technology on 29th August 2024.
Mr. Sekhar Naik, Founder & CEO, MResult, Connecticut, USA was the chief guest for the event. He was felicitated for his outstanding contributions to the global business community. Mr. Donald Farmer and Mr. Frank Casale, Strategic Advisors for MResult, were also present.
Dr. Niranjan Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT delivered the welcome address. Dr. Harsha Halahalli, Registrar, Nitte DU, introduced Mr. Sekhar Naik and read the citation, highlighting his remarkable journey and achievements.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Sekhar Naik addressed the students from IT-aligned branches and the MBA program. He shared his experiences and insights on becoming an entrepreneur in today's competitive world. Mr. Naik's speech was both inspiring and motivational, as he recounted his own stories of challenges and successes. He also engaged in an interactive session with the students and faculty members, providing valuable advice and answering their queries.
Mr. Vishal Hegde, Pro-Chancellor (Admn) presided over the function. In his presidential remarks, he spoke about the importance of setting goals, maintaining hunger for success, and nurturing a passion for work- qualities that are essential for any successful entrepreneur.
The Guests of Honor, Prof. (Dr) MS Moodithaya, Vice-Chancellor, Nitte DU and Prof. (Dr) Gopal Mugeraya, Vice President (Technical Education) spoke on the importance of entrepreneurship, urging young minds to take the plunge into the entrepreneurial world.
Dr. G Sriniketan, President, IIC Nitte DU, delivered the vote of thanks. The program was hosted by Dr. Shashank Shetty, Asst. Professor, CSE and Dr. Raghunandan K R, Assoc. Professor, CSE coordinated the event.
