The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in association with Youth Red Cross Unit, ABSMIDS and Nitte Blood Unit Center KSHEMA, organized an awareness talk on importance of blood donation on 24th October 2024 followed by a Blood Donation Camp on the occasion of National Voluntary Blood Donation day on 25th October 2024. Dr. Chandrika Rao, the resource person of the program, delivered a comprehensive lecture on blood, its component and the importance of donation.
The voluntary blood donation camp was held at the Integrated Clinic, 3rd Floor, ABSMIDS. The screening was done for 120 enthusiastic participants and the total blood donors were 44.
The camp was coordinated by Dr. Gopinath Thilak PS and Dr. Aishwarya MU, along with the Coordinators of Youth Red Cross and Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, ABSMIDS.
