News from ABSMIDS | Bridge in Time - Reflection on the Past and Present

The Institutional Placement & Career Guidance Cell and Interns Academic Club of ABSMIDS organized a guest lecture on Bridge in Time - Reflection on the Past and Present for I BDS, III BDS, Interns and postgraduates on 31st January 2025.

The Principal, Prof. (Dr) Mithra N Hegde presided over the function. Prof. (Dr) Darshana Devadiga, Member Secretary, Institutional Placement & Career Guidance Cell welcomed the gathering. Dr Gopinath Thilak, Program Coordinator, introduced the Chief Guest & Resource person Prof. (Dr) N Sridhar Shetty, Founder Dean of ABSMIDS and Ex-President, DCI.

Dr. Shetty delivered the inspirational lecture on Bridge In Time - Reflection On The Past and Present reminiscing the past and reflecting on the changes that the institution has gone through in the present. He emphasized the importance of maintaining infection control during the procedures, personal etiquette, moral values and ethical practices. He also highlighted the newer technologies that have been incorporated in the current procedures and how dental colleges have evolved. Prof. (Dr.) N Sridhar Shetty was felicitated for his remarkable achievements on this occasion. Dr Sonika Achalli, Program Coordinator, delivered the vote of thanks. The program was attended by 313 participants.
