Students of Nitte Institute of Hospitality Services undertook an educational trip to Soans Farm, Moodbidri, on 29th January 2026 to gain practical exposure to traditional food processing, regional specialties and farm-based production practices.
During the visit, students were introduced to the preparation methods, raw material selection, hygiene standards and large-scale production techniques followed at the farm. The interaction helped students understand the importance of quality control, consistency and sustainable practices in food production. The trip proved to be highly informative and enriched the students’ practical knowledge,
complementing their classroom learning.
