The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, NMAM Institute of Technology organized a one-day Faculty Development Program on "AI and Machine Learning Tools for Research Excellence and Innovative Teaching in Management Education" on 29th June 2026 for the faculty members of Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management. The program was designed to provide participants with practical knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, AI-powered research tools and no-code machine learning platforms.
The workshop followed an interactive hands-on approach, enabling participants to explore various AI tools to improve teaching, research, assessment and academic writing. A major highlight of the program was the demonstration of AI-assisted research tools that simplify literature review, academic writing, citation management, proofreading, plagiarism checking and research paper discovery. Faculty members were introduced to several modern research platforms that help improve research productivity while maintaining academic integrity. The event included demonstrations of no-code machine learning tools that enable educators to perform business analytics and data-driven decision-making without programming knowledge.
The resource persons for the program were Dr. Sudesh Rao, Mrs. Rakshitha and Dr. Disha D N from the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The sessions combined conceptual understanding with practical demonstrations, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience using different AI and Machine Learning tools. The interactive nature of the workshop encouraged participants to engage in discussions, explore AI applications relevant to management education and clarify their queries.
