NITTE SPECIAL CHILD (N-SPEC) WEEK

World Special Children’s day 2013 is taking place on 3rd December 2013. This day is dedicated to specially abled children who have or are at increased risk for chronic physical, developmental, behavioral or emotional condition like those who are suffering from mental disorders, deafness, blindness, physically handicap etc. The dental hygiene of these children is often neglected so they are at increased risk of oral health problems like teeth cavities and gum diseases.

Addressing the needs of these children, Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, 5^th floor, A.B. Shetty Memorial institute of Dental sciences, Deralakatte, Mangalore is celebrating ‘Nitte Special children’s (N-SPEC) week’ from 2^nd December to 6^th December 2013 under the able guidance of Dr. Amitha M. Hegde, wherein all the parents, schools and other institutions are requested to come between 9 am to 4 pm along with their child and join hands with us to fulfill their needs. All such children will receive free dental treatment followed by health education and other activities which will make them feel like home. Free medical checkup including medical card will be provided, if needed.
