NMAMIT Nitte wins Fourth prize at IMTEX-2017

NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte has exhibited its research work related to manufacturing at Industry-Academia Pavilion in International Machine Tool Exhibition-2017 (IMTEX-2017) organized by Indian Machine Tool Manufacturer’s Association (IMTMA) during 26th January to 1st February, 2017 at Bengaluru International Exhibition Center BIEC). 37 Engineering Institutions from different parts of India have participated in the Industry-Academia Pavilion of IMTEX-2017. A jury committee formed by Indian Machine Tool Manufacturer’s Association (IMTMA) has reviewed the research work presented by all the Institutions based on innovation and technology, manufacturing technology relevance, environmental aspects, project status, industrial partnership, project recognition, communication and display clarity. The research work entitled “Design Fabrication and Testing of piezoactuator based work piece feeding system for CNC Micromilling machine” presented by NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte has won 4th best research work award among the 160 research projects presented by 37 different institutions. This research work was carried out at “Center for tool based micromachining research”, Research and Innovation Center, NMAMIT, Nitte under the guidance of Dr. Muralidhara. The research team would like to acknowledge the support extended by Lamina Foundries Pvt. Ltd., Nitte in carrying out this research work. The college team had participated in consecutive 4 IMTEX exhibitions during last 4 years and have received consolation prize in the first year, first prize during second year and fourth prize this year.
