The intercollegiate cultural and literary fest “Anandotsava '17” was organized from 2 to 4 March 2017. The theme for this fest was "Magic”
Day-1: College day for the year 206-17 was held on 02.03.2017. Dr.Narayana Sabhahit, Registrar, Manipal University was the chief guest. Academic toppers were felicitated and Mr. Sanjith Shetty fellowship awards were given on the occasion. Anandotsava ’17 was inaugurated by Dr. M Prabhakara Joshy, Artiste and cultural thinker and presided by Dr Niranjan N Chiplunkar. The day was followed by the events like Group Dance, Debate and General Quiz. Art and Photo exhibition –Paint & Pixels was also organized. Team Thaleem presented a street play.
Day-2: It began with events like On the spot painting, Face painting, Cook without fire, Yoga, Antakshari, SpEnt Quiz, Eastern Solo Singing, Duet Singing, Dumb Charades, Mock Press, Duet Dance and Bhajan. The day concluded with a cultural night, were students and faculty showcased their talents.
Day-3: The last day had events like JAM, Western Solo Singing, Solo dance and Battle of bands. Later there was Fashion Show for invited teams along with the awards ceremony. Dean – Student Welfare and Cultural Coordinator Dr.Subrahmanya Bhat K, delivered the Fest Report. Mr. Yathish Shetty, Student Coordinator rendered the vote of thanks.
1000 participants, 26 colleges, 27 events was again proved to be the best platform for students to showcase their cultural talents. SMVIT, Bantakal won the over all championship and MITE, Moodbidri won the runners up trophy.
