Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp for Final Year M R Punja ITI Students”–24 May 2017 - NMAMIT

Entrepreneurship Development Cell, NMAMIT organized Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp for Final Year students of M R Punja ITI on 24 May 2017. 80 students attended the programme. Dr. Balasubramani R, Chief Project Leader, EDC welcomed the gathering and briefed about the programme and introduced the Chief Guest, Sri Sundara Serigara to the audience. The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Chief Guest. In his inaugural address, Sri Sundara Serigara emphasised on the importance of becoming an Entrepreneur. He took some real life examples to explain the concept. Mr. Y. N. Salian, Principal, M R Punja ITI was the Guest of Honor. Dr. Niranjan N Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT presided over the function and delivered presidential address. In this talk, he cited honourable president of NET, Sri N Vinaya Hegde as an example for a successful entrepreneur. Mr. Gururaj Bhat, JTO, M R Punja ITI proposed vote of thanks. Mrs. Geetha, Programme Coordinator, EDC performed Master of Ceremony.







In the first session, Sri Sundara Serigara highlighted on various support and financial assistance from Govt. agencies, banks, and financial institutions. Also, he briefed about the identification of business opportunities, project selection, project report preparation, project appraisal, technical & financial feasibility and evaluation. In the second session, Prof. Nandakishore from Govt. First Grade College, Mudipu delivered a talk on Communication Skills for better results in business. Also, he gave very useful tips on How to face interviews. During the third session, Dr. Balasubramani touched upon various Entrepreneurship Opportunities available for students in Information Technology. In the afternoon, students went for Factory visit to Udupi District Biofuel Information & Demonstration Centre, Nitte. Mr. Venkatesh Kamath & his team demonstrated various operations of the unit. The programme concluded with Valedictory Function.
