International seminar on Team medical care and Patient safety - NUINS

Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences- Alumni association organized an International seminar on Team medical care and Patient safety on Saturday 2ND of December 2017 at 9.30.am on the eve of the Silver Jubilee Finale. Prof. Dr. Fatima D’ Silva Principal, NUINS introduced the dignitaries and welcomed the gathering. The resource person Dr. Masatoki Kaneko (MD) ( Dean School of Nursing and Faculty of Medicine, University of Miyazaki, Japan) elaborately discussed on various aspects of Team medical care and Patient safety highlighting the Shared mental model and SBAR-Situation, Background Assessment and Recommendation. Prof. (Dr) Iddya Karunasagar Senior Director, International Relations, Nitte University in his presidential address emphasized the role of food safety for enhancing medical safety and the accessibility to health care. During this occasion two longstanding nonteaching faculty were felicitated. Dr. Harishkumar Madhyastha Faculty of Medicine, University of Miyazaki, Japan distributed mementos to all the faculty. Prof. Mrs.Sabitha Nayak, Vice Principal, NUINS was present on this occasion. Mrs. Cleeta Pinto Secretary Alumni Association, NUINS proposed the vote of thanks.
