National youth day - NUINS

The NSS unit of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences organized a Debate competition as part of the National Youth day celebrations on 18th January, 2018 at NUINS Learning Centre on the topic “Social media - Is it a vector for Youth violence?”. Mrs. Cleeta Pinto, NSS program Officer welcomed the gathering and introduced the topic. A total of 5 teams from different classes participated. The competition was evaluated by a panel comprising Mrs. Prasadith, English teacher, Mrs. Anjali, Program officer, Nitte Institute of Communication, Dr. Jacintha Veigas, Professor and Clinical co-coordinator, NUINS. 40 volunteers attended the debate competition. Ms. Tesna was adjudged the best proponent and Mr. Amal the best opponent of the topic. The program was concluded with a Vote of thanks by Mrs. Suchithra B S, faculty.
