Integrate India by connecting with the North Eastern States: Shri P.B. Acharya

As India gets recognized as a formidable force in the global village there is an urgent need for connecting the North Eastern States so that there is equality in growth of different parts of the country, said Shri P.B. Acharya, Honorable Governor of Nagaland. He was addressing the students who have joined various graduate and postgraduate programs under NITTE University’s NAMASTE Cente for Studies on North Eastern States Fellowship program. Under this program the University offers two seats each in all the programs run the University to the students from the North Eastern States with a complete tuition fee waiver. The Governor thanked the Chancellor of the University Shri N. V. Hegde for providing this unique opportunity to the students of NE India and advised the students to take full advantage of this opportunity. As ambassadors of their states they should look at this opportunity in a bigger perspective and not for self-centric motives. He urged that they should go back to their states and contributes to the development of their people on completion of their courses. Shri N. V. Hegde, Chancellor, Dr. Shantharam Shetty, Pro Chancellor, Dr. M. S. Moodithaya Pro Vice Chancellor, Mr. Rajendra, Director Finance and Planning, Dr. Alka Kulkarni, Registrar, Dr. Anirban Chakraborty, coordinator, NAMASTE Centre and Heads of the constituent colleges of Nitte University were present.
