The 72nd Independence Day celebration was jointly organized by N.S.S. wing, NET Rovers at M.R.Punja ITI, Tapovana, Thokur.
Rtd. Principal, Mr. Shankar Shetty hoisted the National Flag and delivered the Independence Day speech on the occasion. In his address he said that citizens should always remember the sacrifice of their forefathers who fought for independence. He also called upon the youth to love the country and take pride in being an Indian and contribute to the development of the nation. Mr. Shankar Shetty was thereafter felicitated by the Principal & staff of MRPITI.
Mr. Laxmikanth, Training Officer and Mr. Gururaj Bhat, J.T.O spoke on the occasion. Mr. Raghuram Rao, Placement Officer & Mr. Uday Kumar, Office-Superintendent were the Chief Guests. Mr. Y.N. Salian, Principal welcomed the gathering and conveyed the message of the freedom struggle.
Mr. Sharan Acharya, student sang “Vande Matharam” and “Vijayi vishwati Ranga pyara”.
Mr. Hari H., JTO proposed the Vote of thanks. Mr. Wilfred John Mathias, JTO compered the program. All the staff, N.S.S. & Rover volunteers and students were present on the occasion.
