The 70th Republic day celebration of Nitte (Deemed to be University) was organized in front of K. S Hegde Auditorium on 26th January, 2019. The program started with a procession led by St. Mary`s English Medium School band. The Chief Guest, Capt. Ganesh Karnik, Former Member of Legislative Council, Government of Karnataka unfurled the flag and inspired the young youth with his motivating words. He said that all youngsters should respect one another and pledge to work for the betterment of our nation. Prof. Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice-Chancellor, Nitte DU delivered the presidential address. On this occasion, Dr. M S Moodithaya, Pro Vice-chancellor and Prof. (Dr) Alka Kulkarni, Registrar and all Heads of Institutions of the constituent colleges of Nitte DU were present. The formal function was followed by a cultural program organized by the students of the constituent colleges of the University.
