The Department of Biochemistry and Medical Laboratory Technology jointly organised a Continuing Medical Education program on “Updating Laboratory Skills” at K S Hegde Medical Academy, Deralakatte on 27th March 2019.
Dr. Sukanya Shetty, Professor & Head, Department of Biochemistry; Dr. Kishan Prasad H L, Additional Professor, Department of Pathology and Dr Krishna Prasad H V, Asst. Professor, Department of Pathology, K S Hegde Medical Academy, Mangaluru and Mr Lawrence Sequeira of BD India Pvt. Ltd. were the Resource Persons for the CME. Around 230 delegates from various Medical Laboratory Technology colleges attended the CME. A Poster competition was organised, the theme being “Laboratory Safety”. 40 students participated in the competition. The first place was bagged by Ms Nazia Ibrahim, II BSc (MLT) and second place by Mr Ganesh Bovi, I BSc (MLT), KSHEMA.
