Nitte MPH Students Visit Public Health Institute at Minnesota, USA - MPH - KSHEMA

The fifth batch of students pursuing their Masters in Public Health (MPH) are in the US to participate in the Summer School at the University of Minnesota, School of Public Health. Four MPH students, Ann John Mampilli, Chandini Ullal, Namratha Sanchez and Veeksha Rai from the Department of Public Health, K S Hegde Medical Academy are participating in the three-week summer school, from May 17th to June 10th, 2019.

They will be exposed to various aspects of public health, learn additional capacity building on writing competitive grant proposals, project management, global food systems and use of technology in public health practice.

Nitte (Deemed University) has a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Minnesota for student exchange programs where students from Nitte visit Minnesota in summer and students from Minnesota visit Mangaluru every winter. Selected students get extra credits for being part of the exchange program.
