Field visit by NUCSER students

As a part of the curriculum in the ability enhancement compulsory course “Environmental Studies”, NUCSER organised a one-day field trip to Moodabidri for the first year B.Sc. (Hons) Biomedical students on 9th May 2019.

The trip included a visit to a renowned botanical garden called “Alva’s Shobhavana”, which houses a large variety of medicinal and commercial plants and an organic farm, the “Soan’s farm”, where several varieties of pineapple, mango and other tropical fruits are grown. Mr. Dinesh Shetty, Lecturer, Department of Humanities, who is also the course teacher, accompanied the students along with Dr. Divyashree M, Research Associate at NUCSER.  It was a great experience for the students to see how mother earth is preserved and protected with care and affection for the benefit of mankind.
