News from NMAMIT | Nitte had developed touchless ‘Theertha Dispenser’ for temples

Ever since the emergence of the Covid-19 situation, the lives of billions of people around the world have been affected in one way or another. Due to this, there is uncertainty in every field. Requirements and expectations have changed in every domain.

Mr. Santhosh, Assistant Professor in the Dept of Information Science & Engineering, NMAMIT, Nitte, had developed an innovative Touchless ‘Theertha Dispenser’ for temples. This innovative device was inaugurated in the ‘Mahaganapathy Temple’ of Nitte campus on 16th June 2020 by Dr. Niranjan Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT. Dr. I Ramesh Mithanthaya, Vice Principal, Prof. Yogeesh Hegde, Registrar and Dr. Karthik Pai, HOD of Dept. of ISE were present during this function.

This touchless Thirtha Dispenser provides the advantages of social distancing. You need to just place your hand near the dispenser output and the device will automatically sense your palm and dispense Theertha. Easy installation, easy refill, low maintenance cost and low power consumption are its added advantages.
