Mr. Sourabh D Nambiar, a final year student from the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, NMAMIT started a start-up company by the name ‘Chipher-10Infinity Industries Pvt Ltd’ during his project work at the institute. He has received funding of Rs.2.5 lakhs from DST (Department of Science and Technology) under Nidhi scheme to develop a prototype to harness renewable sources of energy.
Sourabh had participated in the Himalayan flagship event held at IIT Mandi and secured first place for his prototype. He has also received sponsorship from IIT Mandi to start a full-fledged startup industry. This is considered to be a notable achievement in the area of renewable sources of energy.
