News from NUCSER | Effective Blended Learning Resources

Nitte University Centre for Science Education & Research (NUCSER), in association with the Staff Development Cell (SDC), Nitte DU conducted a training program on designing ‘Effective Blended Learning Resources’ for the teaching faculty of the institute.

The program included a series of interactions with the faculty aimed at introducing the concept of blended learning and familiarizing the faculty about the available tools on the NUelearn, the in-house learning management system of the University. Dr. Krishna Kumar B, and Dr. Juliet Mohan Raj, Assistant Professors, who were formally trained on creation of blended learning resources, were the facilitators of the program.  

The program was formally inaugurated on 18th December 2020 at 3.30 PM in the webinar room of NUCSER. Ms Sadhana Deshmukh, Director (SDC), NitteDU was the chief guest and Prof. (Dr.) Anirban Chakraborty, Director, NUCSER presided over the function. Ms. Sadhana Deshmukh presented the overview of the training program and explained the importance of blended learning.

Over the next two months, the faculty members prepared blended learning resources and a formal presentation of the prepared modules was done on 22nd January 2021.
