News from Kshema | International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

The Department of Psychiatry, KSHEMA along with the Student Wing of the Nitte Bioethics Steering Committee, National Service Scheme KSHEMA unit and Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences observed “International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” on 26th June 2021. The theme was “Share Facts on Drugs and Save Lives”.

In this regard the Department has held programs to promote awareness on drug abuse among students of the constituent colleges of Nitte (Deemed to be University). A series of webinars was conducted for students of BSc Anesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology, BSc Medical Imaging Technology, BSc Medical Laboratory Technology, BSc Respiratory Therapy and BSc Nursing.

An E-poster competition was conducted for all students of Nitte (Deemed to be University). Awareness programs were conducted at the Karnataka State Reserve Police Camp for the children of KSRP officials.

Dr Shrinivasa Bhat U, HoD, Psychiatry, Dr Shishir Kumar, Dr Jonathan, Ms Agneita Aimon, Ms Suman Pinto were the resource persons.
