News from NGSMIPS | Orientation program for NSS volunteers

The NSS Unit of NGSM Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences organized an orientation program for the new batch of NSS volunteers on 29th December 2021 at the University Auditorium, Paneer Campus.

Sri Ranjan Bellarpady, Ramakrishna Mission, Mangaluru was the chief guest. Mr. Shashi Kumar Shetty, NSS Coordinator, Nitte (DU) and Prof. Dr. R. Narayana Charyulu, Vice-Principal, NGSMIPS were the guests of honor. Welcoming the NSS volunteers, Mr. Shashi Kumar Shetty said, “Volunteers are those who are self driven and take it upon themselves to wholeheartedly work for the wellbeing of the society”. He advised the volunteers to organize activities that could address people’s problems and bring them a sigh of relief.

Prof. Dr. R Narayana Charyulu explained to the new volunteers the exemplary work done by the previous batch of students and expressed hope that the new batch would perform even better. The chief guest, Sri Ranjan Bellarpady delivered a guest lecture on the topic “Joy of Service: Lessons from Swachh Mangaluru Abhiyan” and shared interesting facts about the swachhata program conducted by Ramakrishna Mission in Dakshina Kannada District. As a token of appreciation and gratitude, Mr. Bellarpady was presented with a memento by Dr. Narayana Charyulu. 







 

Ms. Deeksha, II BPharm delivered the vote of thanks. Dr. Santanu Saha, NSS Program Officer coordinated the proceedings.
